Hey friends! Guess what.......I have a new pattern for you today. Wohoo!
Here he is, Vikram the Velutinous Monster:
He's squishy, and cuddly, and fuzzy, and snuggly, and fluffy, and oh so huggable. As soon as I saw Caribou by Hikoo I knew I needed to design a monster using this yarn. It took me a good eighteen months to make it happen, but he is just as delightful as I imagined he would be.
I haven't done a monster pattern in so long, guys! It feels great to put a new monster friend out for you all to knit. You don't have to do him in the Caribou, you can also hold eyelash yarn together with worsted weight yarn, or really any weight yarn for your monster. I wrote the pattern with Us Size 5 needles and the Caribou, but switch it up as you want. Because of the nature of this incredibly fluffy yarn I did not write this as a pick up stitches for the limbs style pattern like I've been doing because I thought it would be too big a pain in the behind to try an pick up with this yarn. You know what I'm saying, huh?
I already have him listed in my Ravelry shop and my Etsy shop. And, he's just in time for your holiday knitting (because you are being a good knitter and already started that in September, right?).
Enjoy friends!
