Meet Gilbert the garden gnome!
Yeah!!! I can't tell you how excited I am about this guy! I LOVE gnomes. Like obsession love them. In fact Wee's 2nd birthday was the beginning of this month and I threw a gnome themed party for him. I plan to share the photos with you guys soon.
I tend towards the simple and stylized for most of my patterns, but this guy I decided to go detailed. And I am really glad I did.
Check out those ears, and beard, and mustache, and even those little eyebrows! I think his round nose might be one of my favorite parts. I even did a removable belt.
And, after studying the many gnomes in my collection (ahem), I decided I even needed to do hair. But what kind of hair? I decided Gilbert would need to be bald on top, since that would explain why gnomes wear their hats all the time.
Anywho. Gilbert is listed on Ravelry. He is listed on etsy. And I hope you cast him on soon! Garden gnomes are suppose to bring good luck, so not casting on might directly impact your luck for the rest of the year. I'm just saying.
