Holy cow guys, I am FINALLY getting this pattern out, yesssss! I have had it done since I think January, didn't send it to be laid out until like July, then didn't finalize it until last week. Three year olds, babies, writing two books at the same time (due in a month), aging pugs, and husbands sure take up a lot of time and energy.
Remember I wrote a pattern just for Presley when he was born? Of course you do, you have knitted like 10 of them, right? I knew that, I don't even know why I asked. Well, meet Maverick's monster:
There is so much I have to tell you about this guy! First of all, I realized a couple weeks ago Maverick turned six months old the beginning of September and I needed to get my butt in gear and get his pattern out. So there you go, with complete focus from the second week of September, here he finally is.
Also, YES! I am doing monthly photos for Maverick like I did for Presley. But guess what, he's got his Maverick monster in the photos with him so I haven't been able to share them yet! Eesh. I got a comment last time that it would be nice if there was something like a monster in the chair with P so you could see the baby grow in proportion to the monster. Done! I thought. Got it! I thought. But I never realized it would take me so flip-flopping long to get his pattern out. Sheesh.
But here he is, and I must say he is one of my favorite monsters ever. His real-life coutner-part is one of my all time favorite monsters too. This is just the sweetest, mellowest baby of all time. We feel so blessed to have him as a part of our family.
I made the Maverick Monster similar to Presley Monster, but with his own unique characteristics. Just like they are in real life! Same baby-safe eyes and teeth, arms for connecting to a toy leash or hanging from a small hand, with horns for chewing (like P Monster's knot). But his own special look.
I have him up for sale on etsy, which will deliver through the etsy download system and stay in your etsy account so you don't lose it (like Rav). I have him up on Ravelry. I have him priced at $4 instead of $6 for the first month. I think I got this up right, but it has been nearly two years since I have a released a pattern online, so I might have forgotten something.....*hangs head in shame*
I hope you love him like I do! Go get knitting guys!
I'll be back next week with a backlog of baby photos.
PS: Speaking of most excellent babies, Maverick has very graciously taken an extra long nap while I get this pattern released. I can't believe him, whattababy! I can't even believe this guy.

So dang cute!!! Baby and monster! I so look forward to your patterns, and so do my kids. Love this guy! Don't feel bad about not having time these days. Us folks with kids get it. It's realistic. ;)
