So, I've disappeared, huh? Yeah, The Kid had his 6 month shots on Tuesday and got crazy cranky again like he did last time. No fever this time, thankfully, but it was like a crazy build up of the crankies until Friday which was so cranky that Mr Danger and I were considering selling him to gypsies. Then Saturday, back to normal smiley baby. So odd.
But add crazy cranky baby on top of book deadline, on top of the fact Mr Danger is taking the first of his Financial Advisor exams tomorrow, and it was a challenging week. Which has turned me into a recluse who is just trying to get everything done without losing my mind. I thought I was so close to being done with my book, but there are still so many details and little lose ends to tie up I'm feeling again like I will never get it all together.
Yeah, that's where I've been. Oh, and did I mention The Kid has been sleeping through the night pretty much every night since when I mentioned it here, but has just stopped the last couple weeks? I think he senses the fact that my deadline is coming up and that I have to be coherent since I am writing a book. Isn't it amazing how not sleeping fully for a few weeks can make you feel just this side of insane? And yes, you can decide which side of insane. Thank god for editors, eh? (Oh those poor editors, I feel sorry for them this go round...)
Alright, I am off to hopefully finish up the last project for the book tonight (which somehow I have been working on for two weeks now, ugh. I am so over it at this point, it is a good thing it is awesome!).

Is he teething? That can cause all of the things you mentioned.

Good luck to you getting your book done! I am actually knitting Harold the Houseplant from your Big Book of Knitted Monsters right now. I wanted to use up some Lamb's Pride Bulky that I had, so he's kinda big and I'm going to have to buy more yarn to finish him. LOL :) But he's awesome. I just knitted one of your monsters (Malcolm) from Knit Simple and my 4 year old loves loves him. love your great clearly written patterns!
I look forward to your new book like you look forward to sleeping through the night. I can remember my 4 year old doing the same thing as a baby. Just when you thought he'd sleep through the night... bam :)

Good luck with the book! And you WILL get it done, even if it feels impossible.
I'm looking forward to it!

Good luck to both of you. My Hubby has all the CFA books and has planned to take the test about 3 times, except his other (full time) job keeps getting in the way. I hope that little man gets back to sleeping through the night.

It's normal for babies to need to eat more at night at this age - they're so much more curious about their surroundings that they often get distracted from eating their fill during the bright and interesting days. Then, in the quiet, dark night, they stock up on calories.
Which is all just to say, he's normal and this too shall pass.
;)

I am so excited about your new book. Can't wait to see what you have come up with. Love knitting your monsters and critters.
Best wishes to you and your husband on your new adventures, I am sure all will go well for both of you.
Thanks for sharing your creativity with us. I just remembered that I need to sew up a monster for my next nephew coming in March. You provide so much fun to my crafting world. :-D
