Happy First Birthday Presley!

My little Peanut is ONE today! Holy moly. We have celebrated today and had a really wonderful time together as a family. This picture is all I have for you today, but I have baby attacking a cupcake pictures and a few other fun things I am going to do over the coming few days to share here with you as well.

Did you notice the birthday "1" crown on the robot?

Oh, and by the way, I realized I wrote I went in to labor on May 1st last year. Nope, I was mistaken. I realized last night I went in to labor on April 30th. Yes, how can I forget that extra 24 hours of labor? It was a grand total of 70 hours from first contraction to when I made it into the recovery room after my C-Section.

Happy Birthday Peanut! You are the best little Peanut ever and we love you so, so much.

Presley's 11 Month Photo

A little late since I planned out all of last week's posts and forgot that it was the 3rd and time for monthly photos!

11 months? Holy crud. I have an almost 1 year old. How the heck did that happen?

Not the best picture from this year, but the only one I was able to get. He has discovered the letters on his onesie and they stayed on for approximately 2 photos. Not sure what we are going to do for the next 13 months.....

 

Presley's 10 Month Photo

Yikes! It has been a week since I blogged, and what a wacky week it has been! I bring you Presley's 10 month photo (just a little late...)

Oh my goodness, I realized my tiny baby is growing up when I had to put 2 numbers on his onsie this time! If you can't tell, clapping is one of our new favorite activities now. Along with walking around by pushing our coffee tables all over the house. Fun!

Alright, someone, who there may or may not be a picture of above, is up very early from his nap so I will have to catch up later!

 

Presley's 9 Month Photo

Here it is!

He has grown and developed so much just this week. Instead of more thinking about it then going, he can crawl to anything he wants like a rocket. And he has decided that crawling isn't enough for him anymore and he has started pulling himself up on everything. Which means more head bonking, which is no fun, so I am watching him like a hawk these days. No teeth yet, but this kid is going to be walking so fast. Here's a pic of one of my favorite new things. We call it singing:

It is really more like screaming. But it is super cute. Of course we think everything he does is super cute, so I am probably not the best source on that!

Presley's 8 Month Photo

A little late since the weather has been so gross here the last two days that we have had no sun. No, seriously, no sun at all. Even at 11 in the morning! I kept holding out and hoping the sun would come out for even a minute. But no such luck. Which is why it looks like I took this picture at night. Even though I didn't.

Presley's 7 Month Photo

7 months! Holy crow. Where the heck did this year go?

Just this shot today since this ended in The Kid flipping head first out of the chair and me diving to catch him. I did catch him but it scared the bajeebus out of me. Needless to say I didn't really feel like taking any more pictures after catching him, thank goodness I got a good shot in the first few! I have decided this is no longer an activity that can be done by one person. Yikes.

Presley's 6 Month Photo

6 months! Holy crud this year has gone by quickly (and yet not...). Man oh man, this kid gets more and more amazing and wonderful every day. He is so interested in everything! This is the first month he went, "What's this?!" as he grabbed the number off of his onesie. Now obviously he's not talking, but baby's don't need to use words to get their points across, do they? I always take extra pictures on monthly photo day and this is my favorite from today:

Yes, he was trying to grab the camera. And yes, that is drool dripping from his mouth. Whatta-baby, huh?

Presley's 5 Month Photo

Geesh, again with the late posting, by the time I got a chance to pull the camera out yesterday there was no daylight left! But, we got month 5 photos in this morning!

Today The Kid managed to almost launch himself head first off the chair and barf all at the same time. Apparently month 5 is bringing out hidden talents! He is still so tiny, he fits in his 0-3 month clothes at 5 months. We saw a lady at the grocery store who asked how old he was last night and when we told her 5 months she gasped and said her 9-week-old weighs 18 pounds. Wow! We actually have to go to the doctor tomorrow because they are displeased with The Kid's weight gain. If we are lucky hewill be 12 or 12.5 lbs, so 18 pounds is still far off at 5 months! I think it just goes to show every baby is their own person even when they are this new. 

5 months is really amazing, I love watching the new skills he seems to develop every day. He is so much better at entertaining himself, and watching him react to new things is about the most incredible thing ever. 

Since he is down for a nap I am going to wrap this up quick and go get some work in (since the book deadline is approaching rapidly!)

Presley's 4 Month Photo

We had stuff going on all weekend so I am a little behind posting, but we managed to get Presley's 4 month photo done!

This time complete with a pug.

Oh 4 months, how I love you. It feels like we are through the tough newbie part and we are beginning to fall into more of a routine. We are getting to know The Kid better, and I think he is starting to know himself better too, which helps a lot. Life is feeling more "normal" for sure.

We got so many good pictures this month I had a hard time not posting like all of them, but I did pick these other couple which I just love.

So fun!

Sorry for the lack of posting here the last bit. I have lots of fun stuffs to share with you this week though, so hopefully The Kid will stay on his lovely 2-3 times a day napping routine and I will continue to be productive. One can only hope for a consistent baby, right?

 

 

Presley's 3 Month Photo

Well, we've made it 3 months!

The Kid went through a big growth spurt the last week but he is still small enough he fits in his 0-3 months clothes. He is always smiling and just started laughing last night for the fist time. All he wants is to stand up and he is already moving himself around by crawling with his legs, another couple weeks his arms will catch up and this litle guy will be crawling (and then any chance of me getting work done will truly be gone).

I thought he was making a funny face here....

And this one was too cute not to share!

Alright, that was as much typings as The Kid would let me get in for today!
