I am so excited about this month's giveaway! I bought this awesome little bag from A Needle Runs Through It on etsy right before I headed to Tennessee a couple months ago. I am in love with this thing, and it seems to keep ending up in pictures on Instagram.

Well, after I ordered it, Maria-- maker of awesome skully knitting bag-- said she would be up for doing a giveaway, so I of course jumped at the chance! I have this awesome small boxy monster knitting bag (it says Monsters on it!), plus cool triangle bag with teeny tiny socks on it, to give away to one of you guys!

Personally I am eyeing this amazing robot fabric in the large boxy bag size.....but since I ordered my first pair of Signature Needles today, I am probably cut off from knitting shopping for a while.

This Week I Am Loving.......

A little late, but still just as good. This week I am loving.....this thingy!

It's a double yarn holder. I was ordering some needles and other notions from Knit Picks the other day and saw this. Since I was doing stripes at the time, while holding a baby, I thought something to keep my yarn in order would be a big plus, so I ordered it to give it a try. I love it! Especially with all the baby goo and dog hair around my house, I have been putting all of my yarn I am working with in it, especially for book projects (because I mean, how embarrassing would it be to send samples to my publisher to have them email me and say, "Umm, Rebecca? There is baby barf all over half your samples.") Plus, it has a handle on the back so I just grab it to take it for knitting on the go.

I see they have a single one too, but I have just been putting one skein in if that is all I am working with. But maybe the next time I put in an order.....

Oh, and I got the cherry print, which is dar-ling. Love it!

 

This Week I Am Loving.......

......my new soaking tub! Remember I mentioned these a few weeks ago and that I thought it might be the solution to my blocking needs? Well, I happened to be on the Land of Nod website the other day looking for a basket to put next to my couch to contain knitting and found these:

Since the little one was only $10.95, I thought I would give it a try. It is awesome! I have yet to soak my Summer Flies shawl in it, but it is exactly what I was looking for. And the best part? The sticker on the inside:

Look, you can store babies in it!

Sorry for the absence here the last few days. The Kid has been Mr Cranky-pants since Sunday and every second I am not swinging and shushing a swaddled, suckling, side-lying baby (have you heard of the the 5 S's? They really do seem to work.) I have been trying to get in as much knitting and pattern writing as possible. I don't seem to be making it up here to my office until 5pm at the earliest, hence not a lot of blogging....
