Oh my goodness guys, I totally am sneaking in and releasing a pattern with no prior warning! Meet my newest SEWING pattern, Herbert the Bear:
How cute is this guy? I am totally in love with him. This is one of the secret projects I have been sewing up for my big craft show this weekend. I thought it would only be fair to give you online folks something exciting as I go into this exciting craft show weekend. Nice, right? I do what I can.
I hope you guys love him as much as I do! I have been really into sewing recently, and since it has been 2 years since I brought out my first couple sewing patterns, I figured another one was due. The pattern includes 2 sizes, and directions on how to make all the variations I am showing here. He is super simple, and super fun and rewarding, he would even make a good first sewing project. Perfect timing for kids getting out of school for the summer, right?! I love him because I can get several finished in one nap time. That is how I determine how complicated a project is these days....
I have him listed for sale in my etsy shop, as an instant download, so go order him for a weekend project! If you are going to the Fremont Solstice Fest in Seattle this weekend, you can come check the pattern out in person, plus check out all the finished bears I have for sale. I will be in the garage (on the right, I believe!).
I know I normally let you know before I put a pattern out, but holy cupcakes the last couple weeks have been a wild whirlwind of show prep. I have been sewing and working like a total mad-woman. Every time I look in the mirror I have fuzz, or stuffing, or bits of fabric stuck in my hair. Yesterday was the final crowning moment when I was washing my hands after going to the bathroom and found I had a giant wipe of red paint down my cheek. Awesome. Sometimes I remember exactly why it is I work at home.
But, I am almost, ALMOST ready for Fremont this week. I am really looking forward to getting out to a show again (I used to do them all the time with my bag business) and I am even more excited to see the in-person response to my Herberts and Maxs and Ruperts and a couple other new things I can't share here yet :). And, after this weekend, whatever finished Herberts I have left will be going up for sale in my etsy shop. Double awesome, pattern release today and finished items next week!
Alright, gotta go finish a couple last little show prep details up before the munchkin gets up from his nap! Happy Sewing!
