Whooo! Action party shots today. Forgive me, there are A LOT. Thanks to my friend Swelldove, too for helping out with picture taking!
We started out with monster-making....
Which ended quickly since Peanut decided he was very interested in eating art supplies and I hadn't planned a high enough monster making station:
We had monster mouths for fun photos:
These were some of my favorites
Then there was "Pin The Eye On The Monster"
Which was lots of fun!
And a cupcake for Peanut!
And then there were presents! (Notice the wardrobe change after cupcake?)
P figured it out by the end....
Many presents were of course inspected with his mouth:
And there were bubbles outside!
Which made me realize Peanut had never been on grass before, since we are just now getting out of the Northwest winter! He was not so sure of it at first, but got into it after a bit. (Do you love the monster shirt with the monster jammie bottoms? I figured I'd like to spend my b-day in jammies, so that's what P got!)
Peanut had a great time! Especially since he was the center of attention all day. Not that that is different than any normal day......
So much fun! I told Mr Danger I was going to start planning the 2nd Birthday Party March 1st next year though, since much of the party making was completely last minute this go-round. I am already scheming a theme though!

PS: Wanna know how I came up with party stuff and where I got some of my supplies? I pinned most of this on my birthday board on pinterest! There is even a bunch of stuff on there I didn't manage to make happen!

Well done! Everything looks great and all are having fun! Looks like a total success. Happy birthday to Presley!

Wonderful job!! I'm glad I'm not the only one who went nuts throwing my baby a 1st birthday. :P I love how well you integrated the theme... Happy Birthday!

The monster mouths were so cool! Common party props are just masks and hats, so I find this idea very unique. It would surely “monsterize” the party, but in a very cute way. Everyone seems to really enjoy it. Making your own props brings more spice to the party. Plus, it would be easier to come up with the theme you want if you have your fingers around everything. And lastly -- I just couldn’t let this pass -- Peanut is so adorable with all the green smudges on his face. :3
