So the yarn party was a blast. Jennie from Yarnarchy came up to one of my knit girls' houses to display her amazing selection of handspun yarns. There was so much to choose from:
I managed to come home with some lovely items.
That fuzzy stuff is angora which Jennie was wearing a pretty shawlette out of (you can sort of see it in the second photo). Hers was crocheted, so I am going to figure out some knitted type version. I love these, they are Blue Faced Leicester wool and silk.
This black and chartruese color combo is just about my all-time fav color combo. And bfl and silk? Yum. I don't know what I am going to do with it but I scored 300 yards. Any suggestions for good low-yardage, worsted weight, handspun yarn patterns?
Jennie from yarnarchy is awesome (and available to do yarn parties, just ask her!) I had a great time, it was nice to get out and do something non-book and non-baby related.
Alright, I am off to work on my second to last book pattern and continue watching Vincent Price movies.
