I took the last couple weeks and did some fun me knitting. I actually got a surprising amount done, but I haven't gotten pictures done yet. So, thanks to the internet, I am going to "borrow" pictures from others for now just so you can see what projects I was working on.
I called this my "labor project." Yes, I decided I needed a project to work on while in labor. And amazingly enough, with the approximately 70 hours it took to get this baby here, I nearly completed my project while in labor and finished what was left up on Mother's day.
It's the Summer Flies shawl from Holly and Ella Knits. I did mine in Patons Silk and Bamboo, which for a Joann's type yarn is awfully nice. Mine is a beautiful silvery gray color, and once it is blocked I will get a photo of it. I just need to figure out the new blocking set up at this house, since I had it nicely worked out at the old house, but we don't have the same sink here. I think I am going to get one of those Soak tubs.
I also made one of these:
The Ping cowl. I did mine out of Weekend (I wanted to play with the yarn) in Blood Orange. Fun project, cool fabric, I think it will be highly wearable especially this summer.
And, I also finished this up, I just need to add buttons:
The Mary-Swanson Cardi-Vest from Tot Toppers. I did mine in Berroco Remix, another yarn I wanted to play around with. I like it, it is surprisingly soft.
So there you go. Not my pictures, but it gives you at least a little idea of what I have been up to! Other than figuring out this whole mom thing that is.....

You've been busy! I'm wondering what you thought of working with the Berroco Weekend. I'm enjoying working with cotton lately and have been thinking of trying Weekend out for some of your monster patterns - would you recommend it for something like that?
