So Friday marked my "due month" since it hit 2 weeks until my due date. I am figuring 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after I am due is the best guess I have for when Baby Danger will get here. I am huge, and I feel like every where I go people look at me like I am some sort of bomb that could go off at any second. Yes, because that is a huge help to already feeling like a beach ball.
This is feeling like such a weird time right now because I am planning things out of what I would like to get done, but at the same time I have this feeling in the back of my mind that at any point I could go into labor and life will be turned completely on its head. And, tomorrow (the 12th) marks my original due date (counting from my cycle) whereas my now due date of the 22nd is from ultrasound measurements, so I am still wondering if he might be earlier than we are all thinking. I figure the 22nd is probably right on since it is 10 days later than the original due date and it seems like most first time moms go over their due date. But again, we'll just have to wait and see, wont we?
But, the kitchen remodel is more or less finished (just needs lights put up and to be painted, yeah!). And it is amazing. Both Mr Danger and I absolutely love it. We managed to get our house more or less put back together over the weekend after the remodel craziness. It is so nice not to have a huge stack of boxes all over our living room and completely covering our dining room table. We also did a bunch of work in Baby Danger's room and got his new houndstooth chair put together, got my pouf stuffed and in, and sealed up the trap door in the floor (don't even ask, there was the creepiest trap door in the whole world in the floor of the baby's room).
It is so nice to not be living in chaos. I've been tracking my blood pressure while I've been pregnant (since when I go to the doctor's office I apparently freak out and it skyrockets. I mean like, "Holy crud, she's gonna blow her top!" skyrockets) and I swear after this weekend of getting everything back in order it is like 20 points lower than it was.
Every one keeps saying I am nesting, but I don't know that it counts as nesting if you are remodeling and just need to get your life back together.....
But that's it. I have gotten through all my obligations and now all I have to do until baby shows up is fun projects I want to work on, do any work knitting I want to get in, and relax. It is awfully nice knitting for work while you are pregnant, since it is rather low stress. But, if I am tired, I don't have to do anything if I don't want. I think this is making all the craziness the last few months feel worth it.
Today? Today I am going to sew this:
We have a couple baby carriers, wrap and sling, but I thought I would give this one a try. Mr Danger helped me pick a super cute retro cowboys fabric for the contrast, so it should be darling once finished.
I have so many things to take pictures of and share with you guys! I have my helper coming this afternoon, so I think that will be what I focus on while she's here.
Alright, off to the sewing machine. Gotta get this carrier and some crib sheets finished before Mr Baby decides to show up!
Oh, and I am drawing for the book giveaway tomorrow, so make sure to get yer comments in before tomorrow!
