I have been waiting for today for over a week. I pulled out my baby sewing books last Monday, sat on the computer for a couple hours, and put in a nice big order of fabric from Fabric.com. The only problem with this is that I have had to be patient with shipping. But finally, the box should be here today. (The funny thing about this? If I order something boring, like ink for my printer or vitamins, it gets here right on the nose between 9:30-10:30. If there is something exciting coming, like my desk or probably this box of fabric, it doesn't get here until after 5pm. How funny is that?)
In the longest week's wait for fabric ever, I have been pulling out my machine, digging through my fabric stash, and finding all kinds of things. The main thing I found was a big old basket of the "Sweater Bears" I used to make out of recycled sweaters. I sold them for several years at local craft shows around here and in my retail shop when I had that. Unfortunately a few of them never found a home and have moved with me a couple times. So, I figured to fund my own newfound baby sewing projects, and make a little more room for said new baby, I would open up a new shop and do a Sweater Bear and Sweater Bear Sewing Pattern sale. (Did you know I had one sewing pattern? It gets kinda lost in the Danger Crafts shop)
So, here it is: DCSewingShop.etsy.com. The bears are all one-of-a-kind (some are even Cashmere sweaters) so if you like one grab it before it disappears.
Alright, off to stare at the front door until the fabric gets here.
